DATA, DESIGN, A DASH OF DELUSION: ANALYTICAL STORYTELLING, INSIGHTS, AND TUTORIALS
I demystify analytics, build dashboards, and share SQL/Python insights — all through lessons learned from messy, real-world data.

I like to say I’m a country girl in the city world of big data — though I’m actually from Las Vegas. My background isn’t big tech; it’s supply chains, retail, and ERP systems that keep daily life running. I use that real-world experience to turn data chaos into clarity, sharing projects, dashboards, and SQL/Python insights along the way.
But here’s the thing — I’m also a little chaotic myself, ha.
You’ll find my posts filled with humor, memes, and the occasional tangent fueled by caffeine and flashbacks of bad data. Because learning analytics shouldn’t be boring, it should make you laugh, think, and maybe even say, “Wait, that actually makes sense.”
So if you’re a fellow analyst (or just data-curious) who loves a good mix of structure and spontaneity, you’re in the right place.
Welcome to Mercury Musings: where business logic meets creative logic, and we make sense of data one “WTF moment” at a time.
I’m not like a regular data analyst.
I’m a cool data analyst.

The King’s Pantry
In a land of dragons and daring trade, The King’s Pantry stands as a mid-market grocery empire built in data. With 540 SKUs, four sales channels (Raven Prime, Market Stall, Guild Supply, Court Catering), and a triad of private labels — it’s not just a dataset. It’s a realm of commerce, cost, and curious logic.
Designed for analysts, storytellers, and curious minds — this project blends fantasy with SQL, BI, and real retail architecture.

the mercury musings manifesto

Hi, I’m Ardonna Cardines — a data analyst and creator of Mercury Musings, where business meets imagination through data. This space was built for the curious — where spreadsheets meet storytelling, and SQL joins find their poetic side.
what We Do Here
Here, we learn by creating, question everything, and keep it just weird enough to stay interesting.
why It Exists
Mercury Musings was born from a simple belief: Data doesn’t have to be dry. It can be creative, emotional, and even funny — if you let it.
Whether you’re an aspiring analyst, a storyteller in the making, or just someone trying to make sense of your data chaos — you belong here. Because sometimes, the best insights don’t come from dashboards… they come from curiosity (and maybe a little caffeine).
